Overcrowding, operational problems, expansion, fiscal needs; these are all words that have become very familiar in any conversation regarding the Adult Detention Facility. Sheriff Kaupas, along with Chief Deputy Mike O’Leary, Deputy Chief Tom Morrison, Deputy Chief Dave VanDyke, Sgt. Brian Fink and their staff, hosted three tours in the past few months to allow media, county board members, mayors and police chiefs to see first hand ‘what all the fuss is about’ regarding the need for expanding the jail.
